Corporate Social Responsibility

Maple Grove Developments and The Eric Wright Group are committed to Corporate Social Responsibility; we aim to understand how our business impacts on the wider world and aspire to go beyond the minimum requirements taking a responsible attitude.

The shareholding in the Eric Wright Group is owned 100% by the Eric Wright Trust, a charitable body.

The principles behind the Charitable Trust are woven into our overall approach to business. Through the reinvestment of time, money and resources, we support the wider regeneration of our local communities.

The Eric Wright Group recognises the social and environmental implication of its activities and believes in conducting its business in a responsible manner.

With this belief, The Eric Wright Charitable Trust was formed in 1986 to assist causes that encourage the education and development of young people. Today, The Eric Wright Trust’s priorities for giving are directed at disadvantaged minorities, especially underprivileged youth.

As evidence of its commitment to its charitable aims, the Trust owns and operates an outdoor adventure centre in Cumbria, Water Park Lakeland Adventure Centre, that provides subsidised facilities for the young and disadvantaged.

The Trust has also supported the setting up of a vocational learning centre, named the Eric Wright Learning Foundation, which is now located as part of Preston College in the Eric Wright Learning Zone.
